Yogyakarta — ELTONITY, the badminton community of the English Letters Department at Sanata Dharma University (USD), held its first gathering of 2025. The event took place on Saturday (20/09), from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at AREAFIT Fitness & Badminton on Jl. Ganesha II.
The new members expressed their enthusiasm for the gathering. A student from the 2023 batch shared her experience.
Dian, a new member, also expressed her excitement. She said, “I joined ELTONITY to use my spare time for exercise, as I rarely do so during my studies.” She added, “The first gathering was great. I could see that everyone enjoyed the activities and was satisfied.”
As the only sports-related community in the English Letters Department, this gathering marks the first step for ELTONITY in 2025.
Santa, the chairperson of ELTONITY said, “The first gathering was really exciting and became the most attended so far, with 34 members in attendance and a total of 46 new members this year.” He added, “We even had to add one more court because the number of attendees exceeded our expectations.Thanks to the organizing committee and everyone who attended,I hope ELTONITY can continue to be consistent with our routine training and eventually participate in competitions.”
Following this successful start, ELTONITY plans to further improve the community by maintaining its weekly activity routine and hopes to enter the competitive field. (JF)
